…but not without breaking the rules. The DePue fiddle round closes with the forbidden, “Orange Blossom Special”, a well-known no-no within the traditional fiddle contest format.

*click see more for the link* ❤️ I wanted to make sure you all had a chance to listen to a re-air of an interview with Alex and Miguel, from a radio show called "Folkscene", in 2011. Our friend Peter Cutler re-aired his interview with them, in Alex's honor, this past April 10th. I meant to share it beforehand so you could listen live, but I lost track of my brain, as is prone to happen a bit these days. However, it's available in the archives for another week, so please check it out! 2nd hour of the show. ❤️🎶🎻*Bonus Alex & Candy pic attached to post, I'm hoping that will allow more of you to see this -The Mrs. *> archive.kpfk.org/"FolkScene is a syndicated music program established in 1970. People often wonder if that magical glowing Glasser NY violin actually plays... this is video proof it does! Plus, it's just more awesome from my baby, and his musical partner Miguel De Hoyos, at their featured performance during the Olympics Arts Games in Rio De Janeiro, from 2016. Missing him so much, and it certainly is the most unpredictable emotional journey. Some moments are better than others, but he still has my heart, and there is a huge void in my life, our lives, and this world, that will never be filled. I'm forever proud to be his girl, though, and I will never stop making sure his music continues to be heard around the world, in new and exciting ways. Lots of love, Mrs. Fiddler. ...
