This production was then ripped from the DVD, and re-mastered at OVNI Studios in Ensenada, Mexico; Now available worldwide in digital form to become preserved here on YouTube for ages to come.
The PBS Emmy-Award winning documentary, “Music For Every Occasion – The True Story of the DePue Family Musicians”, began its run at Bowling Green State University (BGSU) and the WBGU-TV audiences there, locally. The documentary quickly showed promise for National exposure, with Director Shawn Brady at the helm, demonstrating his own prowess through excellent story-telling, and scripted narrative, beautifully performed by James Dumke.
The documentary’s story features the DePue Family Musicians, now more popularly known as “The DePue Brothers”, and does not skip any detail. From the more personal side of the brothers’ lives as musicians, all the way to the demise of their mother, Linda DePue, the documentary leaves in its wake, thought-provoking concern for the family on a personal level, and leads its audience toward future celebrations the family would then encounter – the most notable of which, being deemed “Musical Family of the Year” by then-President, George H. Bush through direct communication from the White House.
